The 2021 Ohio Medicaid Manual Seminar for Attorneys was a three-day live interactive webinar in November 2021.
We have not yet planned the dates for the 2022 seminar, and we do not yet know whether the 2022 seminar will be in-person or a live interactive webinar again. Check back to this page in early summer for updates or sign up to receive email updates about the seminar dates and registration once it is open.
Prior attendees and book purchasers are already in our database to receive emails. If you would like to be added to our email list, please contact us.
The seminar will explain the basic Medicaid eligibility rules and planning options. The 2021 seminar featured a comparison of the rules in other states where IRAs are not counted as resources. We also walked attendees through a detailed overview of the client intake and Medicaid application process.
As in prior years, we will review recent administrative appeal decisions and work through case studies in breakout sessions.
The 2021 Ohio Medicaid Manual is available for separate purchase below. You can purchase a full 2021 Ohio Medicaid Manual, or if you have the 2020 Manual you can purchase the update. The update will be emailed to you to print and insert into your 2020 Manual.
To quote a few of the attendees from previous years:
“I have attended Medicaid Seminars all over the country, participated in giving two, and been through the full MPS course twice. This is “hands down” the best and most helpful seminar that I have ever been to. Congratulations on the excellent work product and presentation … and Thank You!”
“Excellent program. Written materials also excellent.”
“Medicaid manual is excellent, well organized. I like that all the code reference and case references are in footnotes rather than in the text, page #’s easy to follow along with Rich. Very worth the price of the seminar; great value. Best presentation I have heard on the topic. Rich is very knowledgeable, experienced, and current.”
“I think that your method of using the case analysis was very helpful. I haven’t seen that done and it really gave me a feeling of looking inside your office/practice on the issue that you covered. I hope this was worth it to you because it was very valuable to me and I hope that you would do this on a somewhat regular basis.”
