2022 Ohio Medicaid Manual Seminar

October 20-21, 2022

The 2022 Ohio Medicaid Manual seminar was held on October 20 and 21.  It was a two-day seminar for attorneys for which attendees had the option to attend in-person in Columbus or via Zoom.

The Ohio Department of Medicaid recently released MEPL 164 regarding the treatment of retirement funds. This year’s seminar focused heavily on the new MEPL and how this new policy affects retirement funds in Medicaid planning and eligibility situations.

We have not yet set a date for the 2023 seminar, but please check back to this page for updates next year.  If you want to be sure you are on our email list, please contact us and we will add you to our database (note: past attendees and book purchasers are already on the list!).

Seminar Value

To quote a few of the attendees from previous years:

“I have attended Medicaid Seminars all over the country, participated in giving two, and been through the full MPS course twice. This is “hands down” the best and most helpful seminar that I have ever been to. Congratulations on the excellent work product and presentation … and Thank You!”

“Excellent program. Written materials also excellent.”

“Medicaid manual is excellent, well organized. I like that all the code reference and case references are in footnotes rather than in the text, page #’s easy to follow along with Rich. Very worth the price of the seminar; great value. Best presentation I have heard on the topic. Rich is very knowledgeable, experienced, and current.”

“I think that your method of using the case analysis was very helpful. I haven’t seen that done and it really gave me a feeling of looking inside your office/practice on the issue that you covered. I hope this was worth it to you because it was very valuable to me and I hope that you would do this on a somewhat regular basis.”
